Some people are simply born with a sense of business. That, along with tenacity and a willingness to take risks and put their skills to the test in order to better use them, is a winning combination.
Seth, an 11-year-old child from Utah, has already created a business, and his marketing plan has recently impressed many people.
Instead of setting up a lemonade stand, he decided to sell something new and approached the pavement with a sign that read: ‘Ice Cold Beer.’
While some found this sweet and congratulated him on beginning a business, some of the neighbours became concerned that a youngster was selling beer and called the police.
A couple officers quickly arrived at Seth’s stand, and instead of reprimanding him, they laughed. It came out that this young business genius was selling root beer, but the term root was inscribed in small green letters rather than the word ‘beer.’
The members of the Brigham City Police Department thought Seth’s poster sign was a great marketing approach. To be honest, not every child is capable of doing such feats. People couldn’t stop commenting once the story went viral on the internet.
Some individuals believed that whomever called the police on this young man should be ashamed of themselves, but the department disagreed. Instead, they responded, “Our residents should never be ashamed or embarrassed to call us.
They were only reporting what they thought was a suspicious situation. “No harm, no foul.” The police even purchased some root beer for a dollar and promoted Seth’s business by telling his nice story.
