Artist includes litter boxes at concert venue’s toilets to promote inclusivity

An artist posted on TikTok recently about how she was at the center of a controversy. The artist, named Dorian Electra, gained virality on the app because of something she did, which not a lot of people expected.

During the shows on her tour, Dorian has been putting litter boxes in the public restrooms of her venues. The intention behind her move is to make sure everyone who attends her concert feels included. The artist wants to make sure that whoever is attending her concerts feels included.

She took to TikTok to announce that she will be putting litter boxes in all the bathrooms during her tour so that concertgoers who identify as animals can also feel included. She showed the camera a thumbs up, to show enthusiasm for her ideas and actions.

In the TikTok, she can be seen walking toward the bathroom door, which reads ‘all gender restroom’ and using a sharpie to cross that out and change it to ‘species.’

She enters the restroom and places the litterbox next to the toilet. In another video, she states that the litter boxes are cleaned after every show.

Her actions sparked a major debate among people. While some appreciated her efforts to be inclusive, there were others who were a little taken aback.

One person wrote, “Not all animals use litter get a puppy pee pee pad in there,” as helpful advice. Another user said, “OMG. I needed a good laugh.”

However, the artist is clearly doing this as a joke since they posted about how the media is taking her actions serious, and her fans in the comments were talking about how funny it is that people are believing this joke.

Other people recognized the joke, and pointed out that this could actually be helpful for some people. “Jokes aside this is actually kind of great for people with therapy/service animals,” one user wrote.
