Travis Kelce’s ex Kayla Nicole clapped back at Taylor Swift’s fan base after alleging she’s received “constant vitriol” from Swifties.
Prior to the highly-anticipated release of “The Tortured Poets Department,” Nicole seemingly took aim at Swift’s 11th studio album on social media. The post didn’t sit well with the pop icon’s fans, who fired off a flurry of angry comments in the replies.
In response to the barrage of hate messages, Nicole wrote on X: “I’m unproblematic. Mind my business. Never respond to the constant vitriol. Solid as they come & don’t expect a pat on the back for it either. Just know everyone has a breaking point & would love for ‘yall’ (because you know exactly who you are) to leave me alone,” she added.
Nicole first stirred the pot on Thursday while discussing the plethora of new albums that have been released in recent weeks. The 32-year-old, who previously dated Kelce on-and-off from 2017 to 2022, claimed she wasn’t ready to listen to any new music on the heels of Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” release last month. “There’s just no way I can fully digest all these new albums,” she said. “I’m still on Cowboy Carter.”
Many fans believed the message was a clear shot at Swift, whose album was set to debut just several hours later. “Taylor doesn’t need your streams,” one user wrote, with another adding: “Girl bye… always throwing some sneaky little shade but don’t have the guts to just come out and say it. Insecure and extremely immature!!”
Others came to Nicole’s defense, insisting she hadn’t done anything wrong. “Some extremely hateful rude comments here. Leave her alone she isn’t doing anything so just stop already,” a supporter said.
“The responses to this is so weird about Taylor swift bc I immediately thought of all the rap songs/albums that dropped in the past couple weeks,” someone else wrote. “I like her but didn’t think Kayla was talking about her at all lol.”

In response to one fan who encouraged Nicole to “log off” X in an effort to improve her mental health, Nicole replied: “I made 6 real life figures from being ‘logged on’ last year. And very thankful for it. A better suggestion – people that use this platform to spew hate – log out and focus on getting their mattress off the floor.”
One year after calling it quits with Nicole, Kelce sparked a romantic relationship with Swift after watching her perform live. The couple have been incredibly supportive of one another’s undertakings, with Kelce attending several of the songstress’ Eras Tour concerts and Swift cheering on the Chiefs tight end at Kansas City’s games – including Super Bowl LVIII.
The pair appear to be going strong, as Swift seemingly referenced Kelce in her new song “The Alchemy” – even describing their love as one that “happens once every few lifetimes.”
